Editorial Policy

Our goal is original, practical, calculator-first content for U.S. pool owners.

Editorial purpose

We publish cost-planning tools that answer a focused homeowner question with a calculator, cost table, cost factors, methodology, limitations, contextual links, and visible answers to common questions.

Original content

Pages are written around original page structures, reusable calculator logic, and centralized cost assumptions. We do not copy competitor articles or create mass-produced doorway pages.

Transparent assumptions

Important cost ranges live in editable data files, and pages explain which factors affect each estimate.

Page selection

New pages are chosen when a pool ownership question needs a distinct calculation model or materially different cost factors. We do not create duplicate pages for small keyword variations or location doorway pages.

Practical limits

We avoid fake precision and use wording such as estimated, typical range, and planning estimate. We do not provide dangerous chemical, electrical, gas, structural, winterizing, or repair instructions.

Review approach

Pages are checked for calculator behavior, internal links, semantic tables, metadata, clarity, scope, and safety boundaries when they are materially updated. Assumptions are reconsidered when logic changes or readers provide useful market context.

Corrections

Send correction suggestions to contact@poolcostplanner.com with the page URL and the assumption in question. We may revise content, logic, tables, or methodology when a correction improves usefulness.

Advertising and independence

The site may use advertising in the future. Advertising does not purchase favorable cost estimates, placement inside calculator results, or changes to the editorial methodology.

FAQ

How are cost ranges used?

Editable low, typical, and high assumptions feed reusable calculator functions. Pages explain the factors and limits that apply to each estimate.

Does advertising determine calculator results?

No. Future advertising placement does not change calculator formulas or editorial methodology.

How are corrections handled?

Corrections are reviewed for relevance, clarity, calculator impact, and whether the change reduces error without creating fake precision.
